The Heart of it All - Stars, Stripes and Shared Kitchen Traditions

As our nation prepares to celebrate America250, we invite you to participate in a special community project, Stars, Stripes and Shared Kitchen Traditions: The Heart of it All America 250 Recipe Book. This community cookbook will feature 250 recipes contributed by Revere Local Schools staff, residents, families, friends and businesses. Whether it is a treasured, passed on family recipe, go-to holiday dish, or a family favorite, your recipe will help capture a shared story. The cookbook will include themed sections of food, snacks, desserts, cocktails and mocktails: We invite you to help fill this book with flavor, history, and hometown pride. Recipe submissions are open to residents of all ages. For full details and to submit online visit createmycookbook, or email [email protected]. We encourage you to include a brief note about the recipe’s story, meaning, or family tradition. Help us reach our goal of collecting 250 community recipes—one for each year of American independence. Please note that we may not be able to include every recipe due to space limitations or duplication. We will make every effort to select a diverse variety of dishes. Recipes are due June 30, 2026, and the cookbook goes on sale in August 2026. Proceeds will fund Heart of Revere’s annual scholarship for a Revere graduating high school senior planning to attend an accredited college, university, technical school, or military academy.
