About The Author

Patti Johnson I live with my wonderful husband in Northern Minnesota on 25 acres with a large vegetable garden, small orchard and chickens. We have 2 amazing adult sons, a dog and 3 cats. I have worked in healthcare for 25 years and am an X-ray/CT Technologist. I have had environmental allergies my whole life and was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) and food allergies in 2013. I am very lucky that I have been able to treat and control my chronic immune system disease with my diet by eliminating my food allergies and triggers. With the guidance of my awesome allergist/immunologist, I do not take EoE medication. So far I have been good by food elimination only. Writing this cookbook was so natural for me. My hobbies include preserving the fruits and veggies from my garden. I love to cook and create in the kitchen. And, I also love cookbooks and have quite the collection. My grandpa Clyde used to tease me that I need to add a room onto the house for my collection of cookbooks.
