About This Book
I created this book during the 2020/2021 Covid-19 Pandemic, while being quarantined and as a way of coping with the fear and chaos around me. I am including Mexican and American recipes, to cover some of my cooking experiences over the years. Some are very traditional and some are new recipes. I love to experiment with new products and technology that make cooking easier. I don't stick to the old methods; although I am in my 70's!
Every recipe in this book has a color picture of the dish, as I don't like and would not buy a cookbook that has no pictures. Is something about the visual effect that attracts me to actually go over a recipe. I hope you love my book as much as I do.

About The Author
Juanita H. Ortiz
I love to cook and bake and have so many ideas, and tried so many recipes during my lifetime, that I needed to put some of that in a cookbook.
I started keeping a journal or notebook, in the 1980's. I noted all family events, big or small, like birthdays, weddings, parties, Christmas, Thanksgivings, etc. and had a rating system of my own for every event; especially the food! I would list every dish individually that was served, and give it a rating of one to five stars; I also rated my own food. With that as reference, I knew which dishes were good and which ones not so good, and which ones never to make again. I would make notes on the recipes, as to what needed to be adjusted or eliminated to make it better. Crazy me, being an Aries I have the spirit of innovation and adventure that shows in my cooking, by trying new things even if I fail.
