About This Book

This tantalizing cookbook was created for those who love mouthwatering, soulful, down home, southern food. Every morsel of food will remind you of your mama's cooking which is where most of these recipes derived. Being brought up in Mississippi, I got to experience my mother singing spirituals and cooking up delicious tid bits of heavenly foods every day. Later when I married and moved to California, I infused gourmet California cuisine with her southern recipes. These recipes are nothing shy of supernatural morsels of Heaven. Every bite will have you asking for second helpings. Each recipe has a bible verse to remind us that God, our creator, said, "Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you green plants, I now give you everything." Genesis 9:3

Frances Purnell DampierFrances Dampier is a retired English teacher and served as Principal of Sunnyvale Middle School and Bishop Elementary for almost 40 years. After retiring, she wrote four books: "Cuddled in God's Hands," "Miracles Blossom From the Spirit Within," "Thank You Jesus, You Never Change," and " My Grandmother and Me." She has three sons, three daughter in laws, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She belongs to New Creation Bible Fellowship Church and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and other organizations.
