About This Book

This book's main purpose is to raise funds for the endowment of the Rebecca M. Cohan '72MSW Scholarship Fund at her alma mater, Simmons University, supporting underrepresented students seeking their master's degree in Social Work. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS BOOK WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARD ESTABLISHING THIS SCHOLARSHIP FUND - about 30% of the cost is for printing the book. Our mother left an indelible legacy of love, support, and activism that we must memorialize for those who'll never have the privilege to know her, and for all of us who miss her so dearly. Teaching, mentorship, and peer support were such integral parts of our mother's life, we know that establishing this scholarship in her name is exactly what she would have wanted. We share her wealth of incredibly curated recipes with the world to keep alive her love of food, family, and gathering together. May her memory be a blessing to all, and may these recipes bring joy and full bellies to you and those you love.

About The Author

Sarah Cohan: "Baking is my therapy," my mom would say. As a clinical therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges, she sought her own solace and self-improvement in the kitchen. She would spend all day in the kitchen and come out tired but her happiest self, having made dozens of loaves of bread, all the food and desserts for a party she'd be hosting, or tests of various adjustments in pursuit of her favorite and best recipes (sticky buns, most notably). This book contains 6 chapters: COOKIES, BROWNIES, & BARS; DESSERTS; SWEET BRUNCH; BREADS & PASTRIES; APPETIZERS & SALADS; and ENTREES & SIDE DISHES. Putting this together was truly a labor of love, and I am so grateful and proud to share it with the world.
