This is my first cookbook but I have published six other books in the seven years since my husband, Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez died. Over the years, I have spoken to many past Gonzalez patients and prospective patients interested in being on The Gonzalez Protocol®. Most of them have shared that they wish they could have help with planning and preparing delicious, healthy meals that meet the special dietary guidelines of their customized nutritional protocol. For some, this is the first time that have actually cooked a meal from scratch and they need simple step by step cooking instructions. I remembered how Nick taught me how to read food labels and find sources of high-quality ingredients. He showed me how to cook everyday, healthy meals while following his nutritional protocol. I too was quite overwhelmed when I first started preparing our meals, and I learned so much from him and others since then.
