About The Author
Chef Joseph Mele is an award-winning Chef from Windsor Connecticut with over 40 years of experience as a professional Chef and Chef Educator. A graduate of the acclaimed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Joe spent most of his professional career between The Berkshires in western Massachusetts and Sarasota, Florida. As a Culinary Instructor he spent much of his teaching career starting with the Connecticut Culinary Institute, Lincoln Culinary Institute both in Connecticut and later in West Palm Beach, Florida. After spending 2 years as The Culinary Director of Camp MasterChef Junior he semi-retired and began his 2nd teaching career at Cookshop Plus in West Hartford, Connecticut where he remains currently. He has been accredited by American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef; Certified Culinary Administrator and ACE (Approved Culinary Evaluator.)
